Earth Day Efforts!

Berit Bergquist, Thai Do, Suzanne Replinger, Kate McPeek, Nancy Judd, and Shannon Katka (and a couple of Canada geese supervising) at Lake Washington

For Earth Day this year, Windward joined others in the Green Seattle Partnership at Madrona Woods on Lake Washington. Madrona Woods is a huge success story for its more than 20-year history of removing ivy blackberry, holly, and other invasive and harmful plants. Windward participated in some of the much-needed tasks required for this ongoing effort, including mulching, weeding, and removal of some of these persistent plants. We worked in a beautiful setting with views of Lake Washington, and it was a beautiful day!
